William Christopher Marcouiller passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, with his family at his side.
He was born on July 1, 1987, in Minneapolis, MN. After living in Stillwater, OK, and Madison, WI, William and his family moved to Portage, WI where he graduated from Portage High School in 2005.
William was proud of being a Wisconsin Badger. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 2010 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He enjoyed attending football and basketball games, staying active with intramural sports, working out, and enjoying the sights, sounds, and tastes Madison had to offer.
William was also proud of his career as a public servant. One of his proudest accomplishments was serving as a US Peace Corps Civil Engineer in the Dominican Republic from 2010-2012. During his experience, he worked with a host community to build clean running water to their homes. This experience helped shape his career as he worked as a Roadway Engineer for the South Dakota Department of Transportation and a Senior Marine Engineer with the Washington State Department of Transportation Ferries Division.
William is survived by his parents, Dave and Margaret; sister Ellie (Nick), brothers Joseph (Cheta), John, and Thomas (Alyssa), nephew Theo, niece Gemma, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
