William David Holm was born on October 27, 1960, in Wadena, Minnesota to David and Joanne (Halverson) Holm. Bill was baptized and confirmed at the Vining Lutheran Church and attended the Henning Public School. Bill has resided in Henning area most of his life. Over the years, he worked at a waterbed factory in Minneapolis, then on a seismograph crew in the city of Moab, Utah, and Little Red Sled in Henning. He enjoyed doing woodworking, hunting, fishing and was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings & Twins. Bill had an arithmetic gift and his family would challenge him to solve complex mathematic calculations in his head. He was especially thankful for being sober for 30 years.
Bill passed away peacefully on December 28, at his residence in Perham, Minnesota at 61 years of age. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Preceding Bill in death were his parents, David and Joanne; grandparents: Palmer and Hilda Holm, William Halverson, Lorrine (Halverson) Chapman, Art Chapman, brother Michael Holm and stepbrother Terry Eckman.
Bill is survived by his stepmother, Lurene Holm of Henning; siblings: Richard Holm of Henning; Lori (Geoff) Smith of Henning; Brenda McDougall (Guy Packineau) of Grand Forks; Tracey Eckman of Monticello; Tammy (Tim) Lueders of Ottertail; & David Holm of Henning.
