Troy Anderson

Troy Delbert Anderson of West Fargo, ND passed away July 3rd, 2020 after suffering a massive stroke at the age of 58.

Troy was born on February 6th 1962 in Duluth, MN to Martin and Edith Anderson. He attended Bertha-Hewitt school and Wadena Tech. In his youth Troy discovered his talent for music. He taught himself to play guitar, harmonica, and piano. He is also a talented song writer and loved to write about his experiences.

His pastimes included his Rolling Ribs BBQ business, antiquing at flea markets or rummage sales and knowing all the best fishing spots in MN. He enjoyed sharing his land in Menahga with his daughters and grandkids, also giving his time and talents to his family and friends.

Troy had a career he enjoyed with the MN Potato Industry as a USDA Inspector. He played 40+ years in local live bands as lead singer/guitarist in the groups Legal Limit, Easy Money and The T-Roy Anderson Band.

He is survived by his fiancé Stephanie Goins of New York Mills, MN. Son Jesse (Amy) Anderson of Afton, MN. Daughter Naomi (Trevan) Harthun, Underwood, MN. Daughter Carly (Novica) Petrovic, Fargo, ND, and Grandchildren; Kaiden, Elsie, Clara, Adahlynn, Nova, Camryn and Lincoln. He will be deeply missed by his parents Martin and Edith Anderson of Walker, MN, siblings Diane Prado, Lance Anderson, Craig Anderson, Michelle (Josh) May and Melissa (Dale) Carpiaux and numerous Nephews, Nieces, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

He was proceeded in death by his infant son Daniel, his paternal grandparents Martin and Hattie Anderson Sr. of Duluth MN and maternal grandparents Delbert and Gertrude Cavalier, Perham MN.

Troy was always giving others during and after life. He was an organ donor and we understand his donation helped 3 families loved ones.

Services for Troy will be held at Karvonen Funeral Home 419 2nd Street NE, Wadena MN. On Tuesday July 12th Visitation 11:00AM and Service 1:00PM.

There will be a celebration of life at 4 PM The Barn in New York Mills. Located at the intersection of HWY 10 and County Rd 67.
