Tracy Lynn Frost Obituary

Tracy Lynn Frost was born on June 29, 1974 at Tri-County Hospital in Wadena to parents Jesse & Rita Erickson. She grew up with the teachings of God and the catholic faith as her foundation in life and His word would help shepherd her throughout the rest of her life.

In her early years, Tracy found her passion for music through her father, and talented musician, Jesse. With the support of her family, she embraced her love of music and set out for the East Coast where she studied Jazz music at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Eventually, she would relocate to the Big Apple, a place she loved dearly, to become a nanny. Her love of culture, music, and life would only blossom from there.

Shortly after Tracy returned to her roots in rural Minnesota, she auditioned for a local band, led by Chris, at the Best Western in Fergus Falls, MN. Who could have guessed that this moment in time would change the entire trajectory of their lives forever. Needless to say, she got the gig and the two would continue to go ‘on the road’ together, being each other’s champion, for the rest of her life.

Tracy and Chris were married in 2005 in a small ceremony, surrounded by close friends, family, including Chris’ daughter Haley. Shortly after, Tracy and Chris began their own family together and welcomed four amazing and bright children, Herimann (17), Elliot (15), Francis (8), and Oliver (6). Despite such an abundance of joy and excitement for their growing family, the road ahead would prove to be unimaginably challenging as Francis and Oliver experienced life-threatening complications.

It was through their immeasurable love, dedication, unwavering patience and perseverance, and their support system of life-long friends at the Mayo Clinic, Ronald McDonald House (and many other medical facilities), her friends at the Super 8, United Community Bank (Perham), and the Postal Service that they were able to overcome such tremendous adversity.

In the face of it all, Tracy and Chris made time to celebrate each and every moment with their family. Her absence leaves an immeasurable void in our lives, but we are eternally grateful for the time we had together. Her kindness, devotion, and love touched many lives and she will be greatly missed by all.

Tracy was survived by her children: Herimann (17), Elliot (15), Francis (8), Oliver (6); her stepdaughter Haley (33); her spouse Chris; her parents Rita and Jesse Erickson; sibling Amy Erickson. Sister-in-laws; Carmen (Allen) Arvig, Colleen Frost; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
