Tonya Buising

Tonya Anne Buising was born on September 11, 1969 in Wadena, Minnesota. She grew up in Ottertail and graduated from the Henning High School with the class of 1988. Tonya received an associate degree in accounting from Fergus Falls Community College and then continued her education at the Wadena Vocational Technical College. Tonya has also recently received her bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Tonya has been a valuable employee for over 10 years at PRO Systems in Detroit Lakes where she has been an accountant specialist.

For the last 6 years, Tonya has been Leukemia free. She was an avid gamer and hockey fan. Tonya was loyal to the Minnesota Wild, she had every jersey and even a 2018 team autographed jersey! She loved cooking, baking, hosting dinner parties and spending time with her family and close friends.

On May 23, 2022 Tonya passed away at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota at 52 years of age.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Tonya is survived by her mother, Roxanne “Mike” Buising of Ottertail; siblings: Michael (Lisa) Buising of Henning; Shannon Buising of Ottertail and Shane Buising of Ottertail; special friends, Ricky (Jenn) Beeson and Kali Mizer; many dear co-workers, relatives and friends.
