Shirley Ann Seaver, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 15, 1939, in Spearfish, South Dakota, Shirley’s early years were spent in the beauty of the Black Hills before her family moved to Bluegrass, Minnesota, to begin life on a family farm. She cherished those years and graduated from Bertha-Hewitt High School in 1957.
After high school, Shirley worked at a bank in Wadena while living at home. In 1961, she married the love of her life, Eugene Richard Seaver. Together, they made their home in Henning, Minnesota, where they shared 63 wonderful years of marriage.
Shirley and Eugene raised two children, Jim Seaver (married to Traci) and Beth Ingersoll (married to James), who were the pride and joy of her life. Shirley began her career in banking in Henning before working at a medical clinic in Fergus Falls, where she remained for the rest of her professional life.
She had a deep love for caregiving, gardening, canning and baking and was known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering integrity. Her gentle spirit and quiet strength left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Shirley is survived by her children Jim and Beth, her grandchildren Carly and Cole, great-grandchildren, Adelyn and Landon the children of Cole & Taylor; her sister Barb, and brother Dave. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
We will love you forever, Mom. Though your presence is gone, your spirit and the memories we hold will remain in our hearts. We find comfort knowing you are at peace with God.
