Ronald Skoog

Ronald Eugene Skoog was born on October 14, 1936 in Clinton, Minnesota, in the County of Big Stone. His parents were the late Carl Albert and Elizabeth (Fleming) Skoog. Ron attended Clinton High School, graduating with the class of 1955.

Ron served honorably in the United States Navy from February 27, 1956 to December 27, 1957. Ron was a carpenter and owned and operated his own hardwood floor business for many years. He was married to Marsha Ann Barton on December 29th, 1995 in Todd County at the Long Prairie Court House. Ron and Marsha resided in Wadena, Deer Creek and Little Falls, Minnesota.

Marsha died on December 5, 2018. Ron had made his home at the Pierz Nursing Home from December of 2018 to August of 2019. After Marsha passed, he chose to move closer to his family. He most recently resided at the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa, Minnesota.

Hobbies he enjoyed were bowling, dancing, trips to the casino and spending time with family and friends.

On May 14, 2021 Ron passed away peacefully at the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa, Minnesota at 84 years of age. Ron is preceded in death by his parents: Carl and Elizabeth Skoog; wife: Marsha; siblings: Doug Skoog, Dorothy Flattem, and Carl Skoog.

Ron is survived by his children: Eugene; Trina (Gary); Holly (Greg); and Vicky; grandchildren: Kelsey, Amanda, Maria, John, Alicia, Corey and Sam; great-grandchildren: Macie, Braxton, Cooper, Oliver, Natalie, Breah, Kinslee, Novalie, Paizley, and Noah; sister: Molly (Earl); and his cousins, along with many other relatives and a host of friends.
