Robert “Bob” Reemts Jr., age 58, of Henning, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Henning on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Henning, Minnesota. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Inman Cemetery in Henning, Minnesota.
Robert Reemts Jr. was born on December 13, 1967, in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota, to Robert Sr. and Julie (Bowman) Reemts. He was raised in the Henning area alongside his siblings, Heidi and Cora. Bob graduated from Henning High School with the class of 1986. Throughout his life, he was a hard worker and was employed in several hands on jobs, beginning in tree service and later working as a sign service technician with Rose City Canopy & Sign Inc. in Eagle Bend, Minnesota. He was a skilled digital sign installer where he drove many, many miles in a large boom truck to various locations in the surrounding states.
Bob was a man who enjoyed life in his own way. He loved being outdoors, especially when he was hunting whitetail deer. His home held a vast collection of deer mounts, each one carrying a story. Bob would say his success came from skill, though those who hunted with him often said it was purely luck. He also enjoyed fishing and was always looking for the latest and greatest hunting equipment, new technology, camouflage clothing, and even a heated ice cream scoop. Bob was also a proud Minnesota Vikings fan.
Bob was a protector by nature. He loved his family deeply and took great care of his parents. He could be a little rough around the edges, but those who knew him understood that he had a soft heart. He was a realist, down to earth, firm in his views, and never afraid to stand his ground. He found peace in nature, enjoyed his cats, and treasured time spent with family and friends.
The simple things in life were something Bob took pride in. He was very fond of mowing his lawn and was adamant that no one park on the grass. He enjoyed attending local fairs and derbies, watching Duck Dynasty, and most recently scrolling through Facebook Reels, while refusing to get TikTok.
Bob will be dearly missed by his parents, Julie and Robert Sr. Reemts of Henning; Son; Robbz Olson, stepson, Marty (Dana) Reemts and their son Odin; sister, Heidi (Joe) Wendt of Fargo; brother-in-law, Todd Wiirre; nieces and nephews: Logan (Kayla) Wendt, Jordyn Wendt, Mason (Savanha) Wendt, Jaden (Mason) Hill, Tate Wiirre, Tannah Wiirre, Teghan Wiirre, along with many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bennie and Marie Reemts and Sidney and Bertha Bowman; and sister, Cora Wiirre.
