Robert “Bob” Leon Peters, age 60, of Minnetonka, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly on May 9, 2024.
Robert Leon Peters was born on April 25, 1964, in Wadena, Minnesota, to Martin and Vergie (Erickson) Peters. Raised in Wadena, Bob graduated from Wadena High School with the class of 1982. After high school, Bob went on to further his education by attending the Wadena Technical College studying the cable and television technology program.
Robert was united in marriage to Cammie Myers on June 25, 1986, in Wadena and to this union two daughters were born: Stephanie and Traci.
Bob worked for Time Warner, now Comcast, as a line worker before moving up within the company to project manager. He ended his career after the tragic loss of his daughter Stephanie in 2016, after serving 30 years with Comcast. Bob started driving for Uber and became proud of his premium driver status as one of the top 1% of drivers in the cities. He was his own GPS knowing the city streets like the back of his hand and could get around the city with ease.
Bob was a numbers man and loved making spreadsheets to get everything ready in advance, even his vacations. He loved the busyness of city life and often would mention that Wadena living was too quiet for him. Bob was an avid police scanner listener and often would go to scenes to make YouTube videos reporting on what happened.
Deeply loved, Bob’s passing will be mourned by his daughter Traci Haapala; four grandchildren; his siblings: Michael (Liz) Peters, Renee Pearson, and David Peters; very good friends Jenny Olson and Seth Kern; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Preceding Robert in death were his parents Martin and Vergie, his daughter Stephanie, and brothers Craig and Mark.
