Philip Dean Litz was born on January 24, 1962, in Boulder, Colorado. His parents were the late Norman and May Ann (Paterson) Litz.
Phil attended St. Paul Central High School until 1979.
Phil worked on construction for years and was a member of the Carpenters Union in the 80’s. He was a long-time resident of St. Paul Minnesota and only recently moved to Wadena, Minnesota.
Phil enjoyed cooking and could cook like a master chef and mechanic. He also enjoyed fishing and camping.
On September 7, 2021, Philip Dean Litz passed away in the comfort of his own home. Phil was a jack of all trades and a very smart and hardworking man. He was a family man who loved his longtime companion and children. Phil will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
Preceding Philip in death are his parents Norman and May Ann (Paterson) Litz and his brother Lonnie Litz.
Surviving Philip is his longtime companion: Mindy Torgusson; children: Katherine “Kat” Swenson of Wadena, Jason Pehl of Maplewood, David Pehl of Maplewood, Joshua Torgusson of South Minneapolis, Dante Hellee of St. Paul; recently reconnected with Kari Arnt; siblings: Jennifer Beupre of Albert Lea, Mike Litz of St. Paul, Marvin Litz of Minneapolis, and many other relatives and a host of friends.
