Paul Rogers, age 81 of New York Mills, Minnesota, passed away on June 30, 2025, at his home with Krista and Steve by his side.
Paul Michael Rogers was born on December 25, 1943, in Monroe, Michigan. His parents were the late Eric and Lydia (Kallio) Rogers.
Paul graduated with the Class of 1962 from Dundee, Michigan. After high school he was employed as a mechanic with North Central Airlines, which later became Northwestern Airlines in Detroit, Michigan; along with crop and dairy farming along side is father in Dundee.
On October 26, 1968, Paul was united in marriage with June Ellen Meier at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church in Anoka, Minnesota. They made their home in Azalia, Michigan and built their own home in Milan, Michigan. They moved to a farm in Ottertail in 1973. In 1987, they moved to Heinola before moving to Topelius in 2010.
He was employed with Russ Davis driving truck, retiring in 2007; he was then employed with the New York Mills School working as a custodian.
Paul loved spending time with his children, and his farm. He enjoyed Eagles and had them all around his home.
Preceding Paul in death are his parents: Eric and Lydia; mother and father-in-law: Albert Paul and Mayme Meier; wife: June; daughter: Nicole Rogers; brothers: Bill (Elaine) Rogers; and Gerald (Marlene) Rogers; sisters: Katherine Rogers-Peterson; Lois (Paul) Herman; and Sue Meier; brothers-in-law: Gary Meier; Miles Meier; and Paul “Shorty” (Sharon) Meier.
Paul is survived by his loving daughter, Krista (Steve Honer) Rogers; Steve’s children: Isaac & Leah; son: Steven Rogers; brothers-in-law: Terry Meier and Brian (Diane) Meier; sisters-in-law: Charlene (Roger) Christensen; Cathy Peterson; and Rosie (Dave) Rahn; and Donna Meier; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and a host of friends.
