Paul Eiswald, age 86, of Wadena, Minnesota passed away on April 18, 2023, at Mills Manor in New York Mills, Minnesota.
Paul Eugene Eiswald was born August 15, 1936, to Henry and Celina Eiswald. He graduated from Bertha High School.
On November 15, 1959, Paul married Mavis Peterson at First Methodist Church in Wadena, Minnesota. Paul and Mavis’s marriage was blessed with three sons, Tim, Terry and Taner. Paul served in the army from 1959 to 1962 where he was in active duty in Germany.
Paul attended Wadena Alliance Church. During his life he worked for Homecrest Furniture as a quality control supervisor. He was also self-employed as a landscaper and did lawncare.
Paul enjoyed making maple syrup, bird watching and apple pressing. He loved bow hunting, taking first place in 1963 in the nationwide largest white tail buck bow hunting competition. His winning buck weighed 250 pounds field dressed.
Paul is survived by his loving wife Mavis, two sons: Tim and Terry (Lorri) Eiswald; grandchildren: Taner, Aviana and Lincoln Eiswald; sister Carol Eiswald.
Paul is preceded in death by his son Taner Eiswald; parents Henry and Celina Eiswald and siblings Raymond Eiswald, Eileen Joeb, Ellen Horner.
