Paul James Crandall, age 79, of New York Mills, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Essentia St. Joseph’s Hospital in Brainerd, Minnesota.
Paul James Crandall was born on October 28, 1945, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, to Orville and Agnes (Lammers) Crandall. His parents passed away when he was young, and he lived with his sister Marie. Paul worked on the family farm until he was 34.
Paul was united in marriage to Robin Jayne Baker on December 15, 1979. Their marriage was blessed with three sons: James, Jerome & Joshua.
He was employed with Lund Boats for 33 years.
Paul loved spending time with his family; he never missed sporting events for his sons and his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and was known for his home improvement projects.
He was a member of the Central Community Church and served in many numerous committees.
Preceding Paul in death were his wife Robin, his parents, siblings Herman Crandall, Ivan Crandall, Lamay Bocht, and Leo Crandall.
Deeply loved, Paul’s passing will be mourned by his sons: James (Stacey), Jerome (Lori) Crandall and Joshua; grandchildren: Josiah, Bethany, Gabrielle, Ava, Robert, and Jamie; siblings: Marie (Curt) Mecklenburg and Benny Crandall; mother-in-law Marilyn Baker; siblings-in-law Randall (Nancy) Baker, Darrel (Dawn) Baker, Jeanette (Vince) Bernu and Kevin (Tiffany) Baker; many other relatives and a host of friends.
