Patrick "Pat" Richards

Patrick Manning Richards was born on February 8, 1956 in Two Harbors, MN. His parents were the late William and Dorothy (Jacobson) Richards. Pat grew up in Finland, Minnesota where he attended grade school and then attended the New York Mills High School. 

On December 18, 1976 Pat was united in marriage to Sherry Cavalier at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Otto Township, rural Perham, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with three children: Jennifer, Tarlene and William. 

Pat owned and operated Pat Richards Construction and Mobile Home Repair. He also spent time working construction in Ukraine, south of Kyiv.    

Pat enjoyed partridge and deer hunting at the family cabin outside of Big Falls, MN. His hobbies included fishing, carpentry work, and reading. 

On March 27, 2022 Pat passed away at his home in rural New York Mills at 66 years of age.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.  Preceding Pat in death were his parents, William and Dorothy; and brother, Scott Richards. 

Pat is survived by his wife, Sherry of New York Mills; daughters: Jennifer Lee of Duvall, WA; Tarlene (Nathan Raygor) Richards of Minneapolis; son, William Richards of New York Mills; grandchild, Kelsey (Neil) Gagne of New Fairfield, CT; sisters: Katherine “Billie” (Marc) Ashley, Margaret Hoff; and Jacqueline Cavalier; brother, Michael Richards; many other relatives and a host of friends.
