Norman Edwin Schulke was born on August 30, 1932, in Spruce Hill Township on the family farm. His parents were the late Henry and Blanche (Hasbrouck) Schulke.
Norman was employed with Land O’ Lakes in Alexandria for 32 years. He married Margie Mae Moske. Norman and Margie made their home in Alexandria until Norman retired, then moving to Almora, Minnesota.
Margie passed away on June 17, 2010. Norman continued to reside in Almora and most recently made his home at Country Living in rural Henning, Minnesota. He loved fishing, hunting and playing cards, especially whist. Norman enjoyed the outdoors and two of his favorite hobbies were catching frogs and digging worms.
On January 4, 2025, Norman passed away at Country Living Adult Foster Care at 92 years of age. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Preceding Norman in death were his parents, Henry and Blanche Schulke; lifelong partner, Margie Schulke; siblings: Elmer, Vernon, Herb, Walter, Elnora, Laura, Bertha, Clara and Dorothy; son, Cory Schulke and daughter-in-law, Karen Moats.
Norman is survived by his children: Kathy Hawes of Parkers Prairie; Kristy Hanson of Staples; David Moats Jr. of Hewitt; Steve (Elan) Schulke of Alexandria; Mark Schulke of Almora; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren other relatives and a host of friends.
