Myra Peterson

Myra Maxine (Stevenson) Peterson, age 88, of Menahga, Minnesota (formerly Wadena, Minnesota), passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Greenwood Connections in Menahga.

Myra Maxine Stevenson was born July 1, 1937, in Eagle Bend, MN to Charlie and Aurelia (Nelson) Stevenson. After graduating from Eagle Bend High School, she attended St. Cloud State College and taught public school for forty years – four years at Wadena and 36 years at Bertha-Hewitt Public School.

Myra was active in the United Methodist Church; the United Methodist Women, serving on the district board of the United Methodist Women for many years; and as a church delegate to conference for many years; American Legion Auxiliary; Delta Kappa Gamma; P.E.O.; a life-member in the Minnesota Education Association; as well as many volunteer activities in the community.

Survived by her children: Randy (Christa) Peterson and Vicky (James) Rholl; grandchildren: Caitlin (Chad) Sands; Brianne (Bill) LaBelle; Tegan Peterson; Erin (Colin) Keating, Johnathan Rholl, and Matthew Rholl; great-grandchildren: Madeline and Tyler Sands, Amelia, Leonardo, Bennett, Vivian, and Oskar LaBelle, Keira and Ronan Keating, and Oliver Rholl; siblings: Ross (Joyce), Cory (Lindy), sister-in-law Lonna Olson; many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Aurelia; brothers Sheldon and Curtis, sisters: Yvonne Moen, Rita (Charles) Neslund; sister-in-law Joyce Stevenson; and friend Don Notch.
