Mike John Holtti, age 80, of Bluffton, Minnesota, passed away on October 15, 2025, at Like Mother Like Daughter in Perham, Minnesota, under the care of Moments Hospice.
Mike was born on September 15, 1945, in Wadena, Minnesota, to John and Laila (Kahilainen) Holtti. He attended school in New York Mills and graduated with the Class of 1963. After graduation, Mike stayed in New York Mills for a year before moving to Duluth, Minnesota. His journey then led him to Minneapolis, where he began a long and dedicated career with White Castle, where he worked for 42 years before retiring in 2007.
On September 5, 1981, Mike was united in marriage to Helen Sue Miller. Together, they made their home in South Minneapolis and were blessed with one daughter, Heidi.
In June 2024, as Mike’s medical needs increased, he returned to his hometown and lived with his brother and sister-in-law, Don and Darlene Holtti, in Bluffton for eight months.
Mike was a man of steady character, known for his strong work ethic, loyalty, and kind nature. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, bowling, reading, and tending to his garden. He was also an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings and Twins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Laila Holtti; brother and sister-in-law, Waino and Shirley Holtti; and sister and brother-in-law, Elma and Lyle Haman.
Mike is survived by his wife, Helen Holtti; daughter, Heidi Holtti; brother, Don (Darlene) Holtti; and many nieces and nephews.
