Marlin Leif Anderson was born on May 2, 1965 at Perham Memorial Hospital in Perham, Minnesota to Clarence Richard and Alice Gladys (Bentley) Anderson. Marlin was baptized at the Clarence Anderson home on May 31, 1965 and confirmed at the Apostolic Lutheran Church in New York Mills, Minnesota on June 17, 1979. He graduated from the New York Mills High School District #553 with the class of 1983.
Marlin honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corp from 1983 to 1987. He made his home in Medford, Wisconsin where he was employed by A&B Process Systems in Stratford, Wisconsin. In his spare time, Marlin loved fishing and hunting in Alaska.
On February 10, 2025 Marlin passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and the gentle care of Moments Hospice at Vitality Living in New York Mills, Minnesota at 59 years of age. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Preceding Marlin in death was his brother, Douglas Anderson.
Marlin is survived by his parents: Clarence and Alice Anderson of New York Mills; sons: Travis Anderson of Beverly, MA and Levi (Kelsey) Anderson of Peabody, MA; granddaughter, Juniper; siblings: Dennis (Kathy) Anderson of Gorham, NH, Christine Anderson of Healy, AK and Richard Anderson of Healy, AK; sister-in-law, Amy Anderson of New York Mills; many other relatives and a host of friends.
