Mark Oshie

Mark Joseph Oshie was born on March 3, 1962 in Warroad, Minnesota to Annette (Sargent) Oshie and they moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota shortly after. He attended and graduated from South High School in Minneapolis.

After high school, Mark moved to Bemidji, Minnesota with his family. In 1986, he was blessed with his daughter, Jenna. Ten years later Mark was blessed with his son, Landon. Mark was employed at Bemidji High School. Before retiring, he was employed at Northwestern Minnesota Juvenile Center.

Mark enjoyed playing softball with the Minnesota Chipps, and supporting his grandchildren when they played hockey. He loved being a jokester and always had a smile on his face, even through difficult times with medical problems. Mark loved his children and grandchildren with everything he had.

On May, 20, 2020, Mark passed away at Healtheast Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota at 58 years of age. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Preceding Mark in death is his mother: Annette; and sister: Marilyn.

Mark is survived by his children: Jenna (George Boswell) Oshie; and Landon Oshie; grandchildren: Kaden, Vayda and Kashton; brothers: Timothy Oshie; Jeff (Carla) Leecy; and Kevin (Julie)  Leecy; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
