Mark Goraczkowski passed away at his home on February 4, 2026, in Deer Creek, Minnesota. He was born on January 19, 1961, in Staples, Minnesota, to Joseph and Madelain (Hansen) Goraczkowski.
Mark graduated from Bertha-Hewitt High School with the class of 1979. Over the years, he worked in a variety of roles that reflected his strong work ethic and versatility, including positions at the sawmills in Wadena, in the hatchery on a turkey farm, and lastly as a parts polisher at Precision Polish and Holland Molds Inc.
Outside of work, Mark found joy in the outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing, both open water and ice fishing—as well as hunting and taking trips to Leech Lake. Time spent with family was important to him, often centered around grilling out over charcoal and sharing stories.
Mark is preceded in death by his father, twin brother Michael and infant brother Christopher.
Mark will be remembered by his mother Madelain; siblings: Tim (Brenda) Goraczkowski, Todd (Lisa) Goraczkowski, and Lisa (Earl) Ashbaugh; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Mark’s life was grounded in simple pleasures and meaningful connections. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
