Marie Johnson Obituary

Marie Margarethe Johnson, 98, of Sebeka, MN passed away on October 13, 2023, at Serenity Solutions in Sebeka, MN.

Marie was born to Alexander and Anna Alexandra Wukmann on March 29, 1925, in Valga, Estonia. After fleeing to Germany, Marie worked for the U.S. Army for 10 years. She met Glen H. Johnson, who was a medic, and they were married on April 13, 1959.

She was very involved with raising her granddaughters on the farm. Marie was a good cook and made the best potato salad. She had an eye for fashion, which she passed on to her granddaughter, Amber. She loved her many farm cats.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; her parents; and brother, George Wukmann.

She is survived by her son, Russell (Barbara) Johnson; and granddaughters, Anna (Brady) Kemmer and Amber Johnson. She was a great-grandmother to Maggie Jo Kemmer.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.
