Lucille Marie Schik was born on August 14, 2012 in Wadena, Minnesota to Jason and Lacey (Lausten) Schik. Lucille was baptized on October 6, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Butler. She was confirmed on May 17, 2024 at her home.
Lucille was very faithful and trusted God whole heartedly. One of her favorite things to do was serve at mass. She impacted many with her love of God, perseverance and joyful approach to life. One of her last sentiments was that she did not want people to be sad if God chose to heal her in heaven instead of on earth. She said that she will remain in everyone’s heart, no matter where they are.
Lucille attended New York Mills Elementary School. She loved animals, especially her dog, Precious, who she loved to snuggle and was always by her side. She was very active in 4-H where she showed her pony, goat, rabbit, ducks and chickens. She was courageous, kind and empathetic to all those around her. She loved her brother and sister dearly, cherished time with family and friends, and especially loved holding or caring for babies. Lucille also enjoyed swimming at the lake and playing basketball and softball.
On May 25, 2024 Lucille passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
