Lucille Anna Borman was born on August 27, 1936, to Henry and Selma (Wolter) Borman in Heinola, Leaf Lake Township, Minnesota. Lucille graduated from Perham High School with the class of 1954. On September 26, 1954, Lucille was united in marriage to Clarence Brasel at the “old” St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Perham, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with 3 children. Lucille and Clarence made their home on the family farm in Pine Lake Township, rural Perham, Minnesota. She was an active member at St. John’s Lutheran Church where she was Sunday school teacher, Bible study leader, a member of the LWML, and Mary and Martha Society. Lucille enjoyed bowling, camping, gardening, deer watching, and bird watching. Lucille was a wonderful cook and baker making everything from scratch and with a limitless amount of love. She is especially known for her fried donuts and apple pies that would fill the freezer when the orchard was generous with its apples. Lucille also loved working with the cattle and going to rodeos, walking or riding the A.T.V on the trails in the woods, and having the family come home for visits.
Preceding Lucille in death were her parents; her husband Clarence; daughter Deborah Meyer.
Lucille is survived by her daughters: Cynthia (Kent) Verville of Milaca, Minnesota; Lisa (Kevin) Huwe of Alexandria, Minnesota; son-in-law David Meyer of Aitkin, Minnesota; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Alex Assisted Living and Hospice of Douglas County for their exceptional care of Lucille.
