Lucas Newhouse

Lucas James Newhouse, 34, of Menahga, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly on April 14, 2026. Lucas was born March 10, 1992, to Todd and Michelle (Mowder) Newhouse. He was a quiet man who cared deeply for others. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, warm heart, and his appreciation for the outdoors. He found peace and joy riding his motorcycle, hunting, fishing and spending time with his friends and family. He was a devoted father. Those who knew Lucas best remember his quiet humor, loyalty, and the way he cherished moments spent with his son, who was his pride and joy.

Lucas is survived by his loving parents, Todd and Michelle Newhouse of Menahga; his beloved son, Jaylen Newhouse of Menahga; his grandfather Harold Mowder of Park Rapids; aunt Melinda Mowder of Park Rapids; uncles, Keith Mowder and Wesley (Carrie) Mowder of Solway; Edwin Jr (Shawnette) Newhouse of Bertha; and many cousins, friends and extended family.

Lucas was preceded in death by his brother Bryan Newhouse; grandparents, Edwin and Hazel Newhouse, and Doris Mowder; uncles, Brian Mowder and Kevin Newhouse; and aunt, Brenda Olson.
