Lorraine Heikkinen

Lorraine Darlene Heikkinen was born on April 29, 1958, in Park Rapids, Minnesota. Her parents were the late Carl and Luella (Hinz) Heikkinen.

Lorraine graduated from the Menahga High School with the class of 1977. Due to a motor vehicle accident at the age of 14 she was unable to work. Throughout her life she resided in Menahga, Park Rapids, Willmar, and for the past 19  years at Pine Villa where she made many special friends.

Lorraine enjoyed visiting with family and friends, playing cards/games, doing puzzles, cruising to the casino, listening to music and eating out.

On March 21, 2024, Lorraine passed away peacefully at Greenwood Connections in Menahga, Minnesota at 65 years of age after a brief battle with cancer. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Luella Heikkinen; sister Lonnie Schedin; brother Larry Heikkinen; nieces Shawna Kubat and Michelle Freeman.

Lorraine is survived by her siblings Joyce Johnson, Darlene Kinnunen, Norleen (Walter) Kubat, Richard Heikkinen, Joanal (Steve) Knapp, Diane Schilling, Sharon Etter, and JoAnn Melby; sister-in-law Linda Heikkinen; brother-in-law Bill Schedin; nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 1, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Menahga Community & Senior Citizens Center in Menahga, Minnesota.
