Lisa Aune

Lisa Lynn (Gehrke) Aune, age 57, of Wadena, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at her home.

Lisa Lynn Gehrke was born on July 18, 1967, in Reedsburg, Wisconsin to Gordon and Patricia (Sorensen) Gehrke. Lisa graduated from White Bear Lake, Minnesota as part of the class of 1985.

After graduating, Lisa was united in marriage to Scott Mann in April of 1986 in Little Falls, Minnesota. To this union three children were born: Benjamin, Jennifer, and Marisa. They made their home in Little Falls where Lisa had an in-home day care. The family moved to Wadena, Minnesota in 1996 and the couple later separated.

Later in life, Lisa fell in love and married Allen “Al” Aune on September 4, 2021, in New York Mills, Minnesota. The couple were practically inseparable and were made for each other.

Lisa worked many different jobs, but she especially enjoyed being a home health aid working for Fair Oaks Lodge, Caring Hands, and lastly Comfort Care Cottage before her health forced her into retirement.

She loved spending time with her family and would drop everything to help her children or grandchildren when they needed her. Lisa enjoyed decorating for Christmas and getting presents picked out for each of her loved ones. Lisa loved Jesus, dolphins, watching Judge Judy, and flowers, especially lilies and orchids.

Deeply loved, Lisa’s passing will be mourned by her husband of three years Al; her mother Pat Gehrke; her three children: Benjamin (Jenna) Mann, Jennifer (Caleb) Seals, and Marisa (Jordan) Ashbaugh; her eight grandchildren: Ryan Mann, Alexandra Mann, Kaylee Seals, Lane Paurus, Emmett Seals, Cooper Ashbaugh, Theodore Ashbaugh, and Lyndy Steuck; her siblings: Lori (Bruce) Thompson and Doug Gehrke; many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Lisa is preceded in death by her infant son, her father Gordon, and her niece Stephanie Gehrke.
