Leslie Gebert, age 84 of Perham, Minnesota (Formerly of Sebeka, Minnesota) passed away on March 27, 2022, at Perham Living.
Leslie Herman Gebert was born on October 28, 1937, to Elmer and Frieda (Leeseberg) Gebert in Deer Creek, Minnesota. He attended District 93 Country School in Inman Township, rural Deer Creek and Henning High School in Henning, Minnesota. Leslie enlisted in the United States Army, serving from 1957 to 1960.
On April 27, 1968, Leslie was united in marriage to Celia Koljonen at First Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with three sons: Paul, Peter and Ben. Together they made their home in Wadena, Minnesota. In 1975, they made their home in rural Sebeka, Minnesota on their dairy farm. While working on the dairy farm, Leslie was also employed with Wadena Feed Supply for 10 years, and he worked for Finnegan Supply, where he delivered minerals to area farms. Leslie retired in 1998. On October 8, 2017, Celia passed away.
Leslie loved going hunting and fishing. He enjoyed working on guns, filling shells and woodworking.
Preceding Leslie in death are his parents; wife: Celia; son: Paul; and siblings: Wes, Dale, and Pete.
Surviving Leslie are his sons: Peter Gebert; and Ben Gebert; grandchildren: Logan, Emma, and Gray; sisters: Mary Lou (Dick) Sather; and Arlene Edwards; many other relatives and a host of friends.
