Larry Dean Rader was born on May 27, 1958 at St. James Hospital in Perham, MN. His parents were the late Dennis and Gloria Ann (Loebrick) Rader.
Larry was baptized on June 8, 1958 and confirmed on April 30, 1970 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Corliss, rural Perham, MN. He attended school in Frazee, MN and graduated with the Class of 1976.
After graduation Larry worked on the family farm along side his father, Dennis, in Spruce Grove Township; and retired in 2002. He was then employed at Barrel-O-Fun from 2011 to 2023.
Larry was united in marriage to Susan Laura Kimball on December 17, 2007 with a Justice of the Peace in Park Rapids, MN.
Larry enjoyed reading, hunting, hunting and hunting. Hunting deer in Minnesota and spending 18 years hunting mule deer in Wyoming. He loved spending fishing opener in Minnesota with family and friends. He also played softball for Toad Lake, where he was known as “Tugger”.
On June 18, 2025 Larry passed away in his home with his family by his side. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Preceding Larry in death were his parents, Dennis and Gloria Rader.
Larry is survived by his wife, Sue Rader of Frazee; Siblings: Deanna (Lawrance) Jepson of Frazee; Donna (Charles) Maves of Frazee; Dale (Natalie) Rader of Bemidji and Scott (Desiree) Rader of Rochert; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and a host of friends.
