Larry Kegley, age 63, of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, passed away on August 18, 2024, at his home. A Celebration of Life Open House will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. at Karvonen Funeral Home in Wadena, Minnesota with Pastor Dave Seaton officiating. Military Honors will be provided by Elmer Goche V.F.W. Post #3922 of Wadena, Minnesota.
Larry Russell Kegley was born on September 16, 1960, to Kenneth and Marie (Kuik) Kegley in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. He attended Coon Rapids High School, graduating with the class of 1978. Larry enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving from April 22, 1980, until his honorable discharge on August 2, 1983.
On June 6, 1986, Larry was united in marriage to Linda Rancour. Together they made their home in Pelican Rapids. Larry was employed with Russell Construction, based out of Conroe, Texas, where they built new and remodeled Target buildings. He attended Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota for business management in 2013. He was also employed at Rapids Brake and Alignment in Pelican Rapids, then continued employment with Russell Construction.
Preceding Larry in death are his parents, Kenneth and Marie; siblings: Lyle, Lynn, LaRae, and infant sister, Lori. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Linda; daughters: Christy (Andre) Taylor; and Kimberly (Dylan) Lane; nine grandchildren: Chelsey, Kaitlynn, Brittany, Makenzey, Payton, Jaidynn, Olivya, Mason, and Gannon; two great-grandchildren: Easton and Kolton; sisters: Leann (Lindy) Field; and Lisa Kegley; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
