Larry Gulsvig

Larry Irwin Gulsvig was born to Peggy and Herb Gulsvig on July 21, 1940, in Bemidji, Minnesota. They moved to Wadena when Larry was a child. Larry graduated from Wadena High School as part of the class of 1958. Larry married SusAnn Blake on February 1, 1969, and to this union two children were born, Jodie and Scott.

Larry worked for Wadena Electric for a number of years before starting Larry’s Electric in 1971 in Wadena. He worked until his retirement in 1992.

Larry enjoyed spending summers at his cabin on Potato Lake, north of Park Rapids, Minnesota. He also enjoyed hunting, traveling, and collecting antique cars.

Larry passed away peacefully on November 15, 2023, at 83 years of age. Deeply loved, Larry’s passing will be mourned by his wife 54 years Sue; his children Jodie (Ron) Black, of Red Lake Falls, Minnesota, and Scott (Nicole Hron) Gulsvig of Fargo, North Dakota, and numerous cousins.

Larry will be buried in the Wadena Cemetery following a private family service.
