Kirk Mann, born on April 12, 1970, in Cooperstown, North Dakota, to James and Carol (Moger) Mann, passed away on April 5, 2026, in New York Mills, Minnesota.
Kirk graduated from New York Mills High School in 1988. During his high school years, he worked as a lifeguard at the local pool. He went on to earn his undergraduate degree from Concordia College in Moorhead and later achieved a master’s degree in English from St. Cloud State University. Kirk dedicated nearly 20 years of his career to teaching as an English instructor at M State Fergus Falls.
A man of many talents and passions, Kirk had a deep love for music. In his younger years, he played bass in the band “The Flood Waters”, and had a special knack for karaoke. He was also an avid writer who found joy in expressing himself through words. Kirk’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, karaoke, and cheering for the Minnesota Vikings. He was known for his appreciation of classic television shows like *M*A*S*H* and *Saturday Night Live*, as well as his fondness for collecting band T-shirts.
Those who knew Kirk remember him as a creative, witty, intelligent, quirky, and passionate - a unique individual who brought humor and warmth into their lives.
