Karla Peterson Gollop

Karla Sue (Peterson) Gollop was born on July 1, 1961 to Ronald and Carole (Roetman) Peterson in St. Paul, Minnesota. Growing up in Falcon Heights where here parents grew roses for area florists, Karla felt at home and peace in any greenhouse.  She graduated from the Alexander Ramsey High School in Roseville, Minnesota with the class of 1979.  After high school, Karla attended Brainerd Vocational College and studied floral management, arrangement and design.

In 1982, Ron and Carole purchased the Wadena Floral where Karla worked with her parents and managed the family flower shop.  In 2006, Ron and Carole retired, and Karla continued to operate Wadena Floral for two years, then selling to Jean Rasmussen.   

Karla enjoyed gardening, spending time in greenhouses and designing floral arrangements. Karla passed away at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena, Minnesota at 58 years of age. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

 Karla is survived by her parents: Ronald and Carole Peterson; sister: Lynda Peterson of St. Paul, Minnesota; brother: Brian Peterson of Turner, Oregon; nieces and nephews: Amanda, Zack, Hannah, Danielle, Cali, Isaiah, and Kyler; many other relatives and a host of friends.
