Karen Williams

Karen Sue Griffith was born April 26, 1946 to Floyd and Hazel  (Tidrick) Griffith in Brainerd, Minnesota. Karen grew up in Motley with her sister, Linda, and her brother, Floyd. Karen attended the Motley High School and graduated with the class of 1964.

After graduation, Karen was married to Roger Holman for a short time.

Karen and Glen Williams were united in marriage at Swan Valley Lutheran Church in Leader, Minnesota. They were married for over 20 years, moving to Elk River before making their home on the family farm in Leader. Sadly, their son Timmy passed away on September 27, 1986.

Karen was employed at Mr. Ed’s Restaurant in Motley. In 1990 Karen and Roger reunited and made their home in Motley.  Karen was then employed at Trident in Motley.  Karen and Roger owned a home in Arizona where they enjoyed spending winters together, and spending the rest of the year back in Motley. Karen was able to retire in 2012.

On October 17, 2020 Karen Sue Williams passed away at Lakewood Health System in Staples, Minnesota at 74 years of age.  She will be dearly missed by her loving friends and family.

Preceding Karen in death are her parents Floyd and Hazel (Tidrick) Griffith and her son Timmy.

Karen is survived by her longtime companion, Roger Holman of Motley, her sister Linda Bettis of Motley, and her brother Floyd W. Griffith of Motley.
