Jelene Denny

Jelene Minnie Crider was born on April 8, 1954 to Marion and Louise (Hahn) Crider in Wadena, Minnesota. She attended Bertha High School.

From 1986 to 1999, Jelene resided in Verndale where she worked as a housekeeper at Shady Lane in Wadena, Minnesota. She was employed at Bethany Nursing Home in Brainerd, Minnesota for 10 years. She made her home in Browerville for a short time and then moved to Long Prairie, Minnesota where she was employed  at a group home.  Jelene retired in 2019 and made her home in New York Mills, Minnesota.

Jelene enjoyed spending time outdoors. Gardening and fishing were two of her favorite hobbies, along with cooking.

On March 15, 2021, Jelene passed away at her home in New York Mills at 66 years of age. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Preceding Jelene in death is her father: Marion; brother: Weldon Crider; and sister: Donna Crider.

Jelene is survived by her mother: Louise Swanson of Osakis, Minnesota; daughter: Lori (Dale Jr.) Denny of Ottertail; son: Cassy Knudson of Las Vegas, Nevada; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters: Bonnie (Roger) Dukowitz of Staples; Sherry (Dennis) Noska of Bemidji; and Luella “Toots” Crider of Cambridge; brothers: Dean Crider of Osakis; DelRoy Crider of Savage; and Duane (Cindy) Crider of Superior, Wisconsin; many other relatives and a host of friends.
