Jean Faber

Jean Marie (Klein) Faber, 63, of Verndale, Minnesota suddenly passed away April 10, 2023 at her home. At this time, there will be no services for Jean, per her request. 

She was born on March 24, 1960 to Joseph and Pauline (Grubaugh) Klein. She graduated from Ottawa Township High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University. She spent much of her career in various roles in human resources. She also thoroughly enjoyed working the last eight years as a licensed insurance agent.

Jean married the love of her life William (Bill) Faber on September 17, 1997 in Ottawa, IL. They spent over 25 wonderful and blissful years together in Verndale.  

Jean was an avid dog lover who spent much of her life devoted to animal rescue. She was known as a dog whisper and was able to train any dog she came in contact with. She volunteered many hours to ensure all the dogs went to a loving home. Jean would take weekly trips to the nursing home with one of her well-trained therapy dogs to visit the residents and lift their spirits. 

Jean never met a stranger and loved to make people smile. She was always outgoing and kind. She made many friends over the years who loved her friendly and infectious personality. 

Jean, a loving and devoted wife, sister, aunt and cousin is survived by her husband Bill and four faithful dogs Abby, Cooper, Dakota, and Daisy; her two brothers, Joe (Beth) Klein of Ames, IA, Jim (MaryLou) Klein of Ottawa, IL, and her brother-in-law John (Ann) Faber of Lino Lakes, MN; her three nephews Bob Klein, Matthew (Megan) Faber, and Ethan Faber; her six nieces Andi Klein, Jenny (Jon Wood), Laura (Ben Montet) Klein, Sarah (Dewitt Boyd) Klein, and Allison (Ed) Lusis; and her great nieces and nephews Laila and Lilija Lusis and Jack and Henry Faber.     

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Pauline Klein, her sister Judy Klein, her father-in-law Tony Faber, and her sister-in-law Rose Ann Faber, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
