James "Jim" Rohr

James “Jim” Theodore Rohr was born August 15, 1940 in Frazee, Minnesota. His parents were the late Theodore and Beatrice (O’Toole) Rohr. Jim attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Parochial School in Bluffton, Minnesota, later attending Wadena High School, graduating with the class of 1959.

On April 21, 1959 Jim was united in marriage to Charlotte Nikkari at  St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. They made their home north of Wadena, Minnesota in Leaf River Township. Jim worked as a long-distance truck driver for Daggett Truck Line, Rogers Family Trucking, and Polman Transfer.

Jim enjoyed camping and trail riding on horseback in Huntersville, Minnesota, and raising Thoroughbred horses. He was a member of St. Hubert’s Bluegrass Catholic Church and the Wadena County Posse. Jim loved visiting with his family, friends, and strangers alike.

On January 10, 2021 Jim passed away at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena at the age of 80. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Preceding Jim in death are his parents: Theodore and Beatrice Rohr; daughter: Jackie; sons: Scott, Kelly, and Dean; and brother-in-law: Glen Gerads.

Jim is survived by his wife Charlotte Rohr; children: Renee Rohr of Wadena; Darrin (Debi) Rohr of Wadena; 7 grandchildren: Mat, Marc, Hanah, Juan, Dustin, Rosa, Daytin; sisters: Patricia (John) Wlasiuk of Brainerd; Barb (Art) Rowan of Long Prairie; Virginia (Dave) Steuart of Ruthton; Rosemary Gerads of Wadena; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and a host of friends.
