Harvey Gilb

Harvey Gilb, age 81, of Vining, Minnesota passed away on February 11, 2025, at Good Samaritan Society in Battle Lake, Minnesota. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Karvonen Funeral Home in Henning, Minnesota. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. prior to the memorial service at the funeral home.

Harvey Ernest Gilb was born in Tracy, Minnesota on February 11, 1944. He grew up in Garvin and Tracy, Minnesota and attended Tracy Public Schools. He then enlisted in the United States Navy, in which he was honorably discharged due to medical reasons. Harvey spent his life driving truck and tinkering with lawnmowers and tractors. He had a huge passion for his dogs, and for wildlife. His hobbies included camping, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding Harvey in death are his parents: Ernest and Florence; father and mother-in-law: Ray and Ruby Simonson; and son-in-law: Michael Felt.

Harvey is survived by his wife, Connie; daughters: Lyn (Bill) Nord of Alexandria; Laurie Felt of Clitherall; and Debbie (Shannon) Starry of Henning; grandchildren: Tika (Ben) Kuhnau; Matt Nord; Brendan (Camille Carpenter) Felt; Kendra (Devan Karol) Felt; and Tyler (Bradie) Starry; great-grandchildren: Ziva, Zephania, and Ezekiel Kuhnau; Paisley, Brielle, Harper, and Ryleigh Starry; sister LaVonne (Harold) Lange brother: Kenny (Judy) Gilb; many other relatives and a host of friends.
