Harold John Kramer, of Vining, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3rd, at his shop in Otter Tail County.
Born in Morris, MN, on October 10, 1939, Harold was the son of Arnold and Maye (Linstad) Kramer. He was raised on a farm near Eagle Bend with his brother, Dave and was predeceased by his brother Doug in 2004.
On July 23, 1960, Harold married the love of his life, Carol Ann Johnson. Together they built a life rooted in family and farming. Carol preceded him in death on December 30, 2001, and Harold carried her memory with him every day. They built a successful farming business, milking cows for many years and transitioning to raising edible beans in the 90s. In addition to farming, he served on the board of the Wadena Electric Coop.
Harold and Carol raised three sons, Greg (Diane) of Rogers, Wayne (Linda) of Hewitt, and Rick (Penny) of Monticello. Harold is survived by grandchildren Tanya, Tyler, Tasha and Travis Kramer, Danielle (Dan) Hager, and Paige (Jake) Brunson; great-grandchildren Aia and Aven Hager, Lydia, Teagan, Bennett and Winston Hager, and Savannah Brunson; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He loved all of his family very much.
Harold will be remembered for his work ethic, his dedication to the farm, a love of deer hunting and the many hours of socializing with friends. Harold was never afraid to take on new ideas and did everything with honesty and integrity. He liked to visit with nearly everyone he met and had a large number of people he considered friends.
