Gloria Beishline Obituary

Gloria Inez (Robbins) Beishline, aged 92, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2024. Born in Milton, PA, on January 13, 1932, to John C. and Sarah Kathryn (Arnold) Robbins, Gloria's early years were marked by warmth and family unity, notably beginning on an unseasonably warm day amidst the simplicity of rural life.

Gloria's upbringing in Turbotville, PA, led her to graduate in 1949, after which she embarked on a career as a payroll clerk at American Car and Foundry. In 1955, her life took a joyous turn when she married Harold Beishline, a skilled carpenter. Gloria seamlessly transitioned into the role of bookkeeper for their joint venture, Beishline Construction. Together, they made their home in Milton, PA, where they were blessed with four children.

The Beishline family ventured west in the summer of 1968, an exploratory journey that would culminate in their acquisition of Hay Creek Stock Farm near Sebeka, MN, in 1969. For 28 years, Gloria and Harold dedicated themselves to farming before retiring to Wadena, MN, in 1997. Retirement afforded Gloria the opportunity to indulge in her passions for travel, visiting diverse destinations such as New Mexico, Arizona, California, Pennsylvania, Finland, and Russia.

Gloria found joy in a variety of activities: reading, walking, playing board games, cycling, exploring historical sites, and embracing the digital age with her iPad. She was an active member of Southbrook Baptist Church, TOPS, and the Homemakers club, and she devoted time to volunteering at Tri-County Hospital. Gloria had a strong faith in the Lord and exemplified this in her family and with all who knew her.

Her legacy is carried on by her sister Violet "Kay” Shutt; her children Teresa, Lisa (Steve); Steve (Voula) of Sacramento, CA; David (Kaija) of Phoenix, AZ; 13 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Gloria was predeceased by her beloved husband Harold in 2016, her parents, siblings Elaine Dietz, Robert, John, and William Robbins, and grandson Stefan Beishline, among other dear family members.
