Gerald Bentz

Gerald Dale Bentz passed away on December 21, 2025, at his home in Deer Creek, Minnesota.

Born on June 27, 1957, to Gilbert and Ann (Zustiak) Bentz, Gerald was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Watertown, Minnesota. He graduated from Delano High School with the class of 1975.

Gerald spent his early years in Maple Plain, Minnesota, where he grew up on the family farm. Later in life, he moved to a farm in Deer Creek, continuing his deep connection to the land. Gardening was one of Gerald’s greatest joys—he had a remarkable green thumb for vegetables. He took pride in planting seeds in his greenhouse and nurturing them into thriving plants for his garden. His harvests were often abundant, and he generously shared the fruits of his labor with friends and neighbors.

Gerald is preceded in death by his parents

Gerald will be remembered fondly by all those who called him friend.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. 

A Celebration of Life will be held for Gerry in the spring.
