Georgianne "Gina" Kruize

Georgianne “Gina” Holmes was born on March 26, 1944 to Arthur and Elenore (Shove) Holmes in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She attended Robbinsdale High School, graduating with the class of 1962. Following high school, Gina attended University of Minnesota and then was employed as a CNA at a care center in Wayzata, Minnesota.

On January 21, 1965 Gina was united in marriage to Ronald Kruize at First Lutheran Church in Crystal, Minnesota. Together, they made their home in Brooklyn Park and were married for 15 years. Gina resided in Brooklyn Park and Elk River, Minnesota for a short time before making her home in Henning, Minnesota in 1993.

Gina was an old movie enthusiast and always made sure to keep up with the news and current events. She enjoyed looking after her twin brother, Albert, and his friends. Gina’s kind heart always made sure Albert and his friends received a hot meal.

On February 3, 2021, Gina passed away at her home at 76 years of age. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Gina is preceded in death by her parents; sister: Carol (William) Bossong; and brother-in-law: Myron Reemtsma.

Gina is survived by her sister: Sharon Reemtsma; and brother: Fr. Albert Holmes; many other relatives and a host of friends.
