Gail Green
March 22, 1931 – July 16, 2025
Gail Green, 94, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, under the gentle care of "Our Home, Your Home" in Henning, Minnesota.
She was born March 22, 1931, in Fergus Falls to Thorvald and Pauline Eckerman Iversen. On May 23, 1953, she married Russell Green, and together they welcomed their son, Dwite.
Much of their life together was spent enjoying the simple things — gardening, summers at the family lake home on East Battle Lake, a home Russell and Dwite built by hand, and winters in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where they found sunshine and lasting friendships.
Her faith was a steady and quiet part of who she was, and she was a devoted member of Vining Lutheran Church. Gail will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and genuine care for others. Even when she wasn’t feeling her best, her first question was always about how you were doing.
She is survived by her son, Dwite, of Stevensville, Montana; her grandson, Jesse; a brother Argyle (Nancy) Iversen of Little Falls, and her sister-in-law, Anita (Roger) Knudtson.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 69 years, Russell.
She was a truly special woman — cheerful, thoughtful, and welcoming — and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
