Elaine McCormick

Elaine Marie McCormick, age 90 of Sebeka, died peacefully on Nov. 11, 2021 at Rose Haven Assisted Living in Menahga with loving family by her side. She was an only child born to Herbert and Hilda (Matson) Johnson.

She met and married the love of her life, Dorn “Pat” McCormick and they spent 70 years together on the McCormick family farm where he was born. They had 6 children, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandbabies.

She farmed all of her married life, worked at Badoura Nursery and was a Red Eye Township clerk for several decades. With her husband together they enjoyed many hunting trips to Montana. She was known for her famous chocolate cake with seven minute frosting which was requested by all.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dorn, daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Larry Gilster, great-granddaughter Makenna Arildsen.

Surviving are Patrick (Dianne), Diane (Paul), Jan, Herb (Theresa), and Ben (Wendy).
