Obituary

Elaine Amelia (Weber) Kenyon, age 74, of Henning, Minnesota passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023, at St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Elaine Amelia Weber was born on November 19, 1948, in New Ulm, Minnesota, the seventh child of Lester and Angeline (Sellner) Weber. She was raised on the family farm in Gibbon, Minnesota. Elaine attended Gibbon High School and later New Ulm High School obtaining her GED.

Elaine was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Ronald Bahr and to this union four children were born. The couple made their home in Gibbon and then New Ulm until his passing. She found love again and spent eight years of marriage to Roger Rotering until his passing. Elaine moved to Henning in the summer of 1992. Elaine was united in marriage to Donald Kenyon for ten years making their home in Henning until his passing.

Elaine worked many jobs in her lifetime but to name a few; she did waitressing, bartending, and daycare for many years.

Elaine was a devout Catholic and was a member at Saint Edward’s Catholic Church in Henning as well as being part of the Christian Mothers and leader of the luncheons for funerals. She volunteered her time as a voting official, at the food shelf, and donated potatoes to the Salvation Army and to the church.

People who knew Elaine called her “Mom” because she adopted everyone that came into her life with open arms. Food was her love language and she made sure there was plenty of it to go around whenever people visited. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her world and she loved spending time with them. She enjoyed gardening, canning, fishing, sewing, reading, yard art, bowling, darts, casinos, county music concerts, and diamond dots.

Deeply loved, Elaine’s passing will be mourned by her children: Robert (Colette) Bahr, Rhonda (Michael) Bulick, Dale (Heidi) Bahr, and Danielle (Clay Bleess) Bahr; her grandchildren: Kayla (Rob) Jackson, Jessica (Justin) Patelski, Justin (Jennifer Frings) Bahr, Kelvin (Sharon) Bahr, Trevor Regner, Runnar Bahr, Drew (Thomas) DeJong, Maddy Regner, Jesiah Bahr, Liv Bahr, Saige Bulick, Cierra Bulick, Cadence Selzler-Campion, Briston Bulick, Braxton Bulick, and Grady Bulick; her great-grandchildren: MacKenzie, Brayden, Joey, Mariah, Jasmine, Aria, Oaklynn, and Hudson; her siblings: Leon Weber, Doris (Jim) Zitzmann, Ronnie (Leslie) Weber, Richard Weber, Dennis Weber, Jeanette (Jim) Scoates, Barb (Keith) Foster, Donna (Larry) Frederickson, and Paul (Dawn) Weber; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Preceding Elaine in death are her three husbands Ronald Bahr, Roger Rotering, and Donald Kenyon; her parents; her granddaughters Baby Girl Kenyon and Aleia Dettmer; and her siblings: David Weber, Lloyd Weber, Marion Schmitz, and Marvin Weber.
