Douglas Jerome Feela, age 68, passed away peacefully at his home in Osakis, Minnesota surrounded by his loved ones on June 17, 2026.

Douglas was born on December 3, 1957, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Jerome and Alvina (Karst) Feela. He attended Deer Creek High School, graduating with the Class of 1976. He continued his education at Alexandria Vocational Technical College, where he earned a degree in Carpentry. Douglas was married to Cheryl Lindberg for 15 years and they raised two children together, Jacqueline and Harley.  Throughout his life, Douglas built a strong work ethic and took pride in every job he held. He could fix just about anything. 

He began his career as a truck driver for MidCentral Equipment and later spent 15 years with Dairyland Supply in Sauk Centre, where he maintained farm equipment. Douglas then worked in maintenance at Felling Trailers for over 10 years before joining NorthStar Cranes, where he installed and maintained overhead cranes until the time of his passing.

Douglas enjoyed life to the fullest and found joy in many activities. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and was passionate about supporting charitable causes, including Toys for Tots, the Ronald McDonald House and the Wounded Warrier Project. He also enjoyed gardening, carpentry, camping, traveling and, most importantly, spending time with his family and friends. He was especially fond of his grandsons.

Douglas is survived by his children, Jacqueline (Andrew) Hammer of Sauk Centre, Minnesota, and Harley (Megan) Feela of St. Cloud, Minnesota. Grandsons, Braxton Hammer and Tyson Feela. Siblings, Rick (Pam) Feela, Mark (Tracy) Feela, Cynthia Feela (Rick Haroldson), Jeanine (Scott) Kirkoff and Butch (Sherilyn) Feela. As well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Alvina (Karst) Feela. Infant sister Mary Feela and sister, Jerilynn (Everett) Sweazey.

Douglas will be remembered for his hardworking nature, generous spirit, his sense of humor and the friendships he built throughout his life. He always made time for good company and an ice cold beer. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
