Doris Veden

Doris Lorraine Veden was born to Jessie (Gedde) and Percy Veden on September 19, 1933 in Compton Township.

After graduating from Wadena High School, she found employment in a variety of places including Colorado Springs, Chicago, St. Paul and then in Denver. She received her bachelor’s degree from Metropolitan University in Denver and went to work for the Federal Government.

After her retirement, she returned to Wadena where she volunteered at Wadena County Social Services. She was active in the Garden Club, homemakers, and the Library board.

In 2020, she suffered a stroke and moved to the Todd County Care Center.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Marvin Veden, sisters Irene (Dick) Scribner, Marian (Del) Bullock, Norma (Lyman) Lee, nephews David Veden, Randy Bullock and Tod Scribner. She is survived by sisters Sharon Veden (Larry Johnson) of Browerville, and Barabara Majchrzak (John) of New Prague.
