Deloris “Dee” (Poehls) Reznechek, age 87, of Wadena, MN died on Saturday, October 21, 2023.
Dee was born to Rex and Ellen Leach on September 3, 1936, in Moorhead, Minnesota. She was the third of five children. She graduated from Moorhead High School in 1955, where she met Clark “Archie” Poehls that summer. They were united in marriage on October 1, 1955. Archie and Dee had four girls. In 1970, Archie bought the Super Value in Wadena, Minnesota and moved their family from White Bear Lake and built a life in Wadena. Deloris and Archie set their roots in Wadena and created lifelong friendships. Dee volunteered for Meals On Wheels and where she could help. She was very artistic and loved to help with decorations for parties. They enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas as her parents would accompany them many times. Dee and Archie were inseparable; when you saw one, the other was nearby. They enjoyed entertaining at their home, especially dressing up for Halloween. She loved her family and friends. Archie died on February 24, 1988, due to heart complications.
On December 1, 1991, Dee was re-married to Arnold “Arnie” Reznechek and gained two stepchildren: Sandy and Jason. Together they spent time at their trailer at Big Pine Lake with friends and family. They enjoyed going on trips to Mahnomen. They both enjoyed their dog, Fuzzy.
Dee enjoyed golfing, bridge, gardening, bowling, and watching the Minnesota Vikings. She loved to entertain. Christmas was her favorite holiday and if you drove past their house, you would not miss it.
