Deloris “Dee” Jule Ceaser was born on February 3, 1928 in Odessa, Minnesota. Her parents were the late Earl Oliver and Ida Charolette (Reber) Ceaser. Deloris graduated from Wadena High School with the class of 1946. On October 24, 1947 Deloris married Norman Frederick Meinke at the First Congregational Church in Wadena, Minnesota. They were married for 18 years and resided in Sommerset, Wisconsin. Their marriage was blessed with four children. In 1965, Deloris made her home in Wadena, Minnesota where she was employed as a clerk and bookkeeper at Rexall Drug and then employed with a chiropractor in Alexandria, retiring in 1977. Deloris made her home in Osakis for a short time and Alexandria, before moving to Henning, Minnesota in May of 2013.
Deloris loved to dance, quilt, read, and go for walks. She also enjoyed music, needlework, and participating in church work and serving as a Deacon at the Presbyterian Church in Osakis. Deloris always had a passion for volunteering, she gave her time at the Douglas County Hospital, Knute Nelson Home, Crisis Center in Alexandria, and Foster Grandparents at the Osakis Charter School.
Preceding Deloris in death were her parents; son, Terry Meinke; brother Glen and his wife Gloria Ceaser; sister Eunice and her husband James Johnson.
Deloris is survived by her daughters: Sally (Steve) Eckhoff of Henning; Julie Denny of Henning; sons Daniel Meinke of North San Juan, CA; James “Buck” (Debbie) Foster and Patrick Foster of Wadena; Sister Pam (Paul) Michalek of Monticello, MN 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends.
