Delores (Holm) Kilbury

Delores Jean (Holm) Kilbury, 86, of Menahga, Minnesota (formerly Henning, Minnesota) passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Green Pine Acres Nursing Home. 

Delores Jean Holm was born on August 6, 1935, to Selmer and Myrtle Alida (Anderson) Holm in Henning, Minnesota. She graduated from Henning High School in 1953. Delores was united in marriage to Roger Larsen in Minneapolis and to this union three children were born Michael, Richard and Cynthia. The couple later separated, and Delores met the love of her life, Roger Kilbury. In 1965, Delores and Roger Kilbury were united in marriage and had 52 years together before his passing in 2018. They made their home in Minneapolis where she worked as a secretary for many years.

Delores and her family moved to Henning to the family farm in order to take care of her parents. This is when her love of gardening blossomed, and she became known for her beautiful flower beds.

Delores enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, coloring, cooking and spending time with her family.

Deeply loved, Delores’ passing will be mourned by her children Richard (Carol) Larsen and Cynthia Larsen; her grandchildren Kassidy (Matt) Deiman, Brittani (Brandon) Edwards, and Benjamin (Jamie) Larsen; and her great-grandchildren Abigail, Clare, Bailey, Laughlin, Leighton, and Alaina.

She is preceded in death by her husband Roger, son Michael, parents, and siblings Darrell, Arlene, LaVern, and Virgil.
