Deborah "Debbie" Orre Obituary

Deborah Raye “Debbie” Orre was born on July 27, 1955 in Winner, South Dakota. She was adopted into the family of Don and Vivian (Fredrickson) Walker. Her childhood home was in Butte, Nebraska. Debbie attended North High School in Sioux City, Iowa, graduating with the class of 1974. Following high school, Debbie went to work at a local nursing home as a cook and as a Nurse’s Aide.

In June of 1983, Debbie was united in marriage to Mark Orre in Elk Point, South Dakota. Their union was blessed with a daughter, Naomi, in 1985. They made their home together in Gary, Minnesota.

Debbie worked as a telemarketer at ACI in Twin Valley in the early 1990’s, and worked at Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen, Minnesota for a short while. Debbie made her home in Ada, Minnesota where she worked at Bridge’s Care Community as a cook and Nurse’s Aide. In 2008, she made her home in Park Rapids, Minnesota for 3 years before moving to Crosby, Minnesota. In October of 2021, Debbie made her home in New York Mills, Minnesota.

Debbie enjoyed fishing, cooking, crocheting, painting, and reading. Stephen King books were among her favorites. Her TV show genres of choice were Sci-Fi and Crime. Debbie was an animal lover, and loved spending time with her family and friends, creating laughter in her home.

On November 5, 2021 Debbie passed away at her home in New York Mills, Minnesota at 66 years of age. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Debbie is preceded in death by her parents: Don and Vivian; mother-in-law Violet Orre; and Richard Bandy.

Surviving Debbie is her daughter: Naomi Orre of Moorhead; Sister Carla Rae (Ivan) Nissen of Omaha, Nebraska; nephew- Steve (Jodi) Nissen of Weeping Water, Nebraska; niece Terry (Kelly) Kloppenborg of Emmet, Nebraska; great-nieces: Heather Kloppenborg, Kelly Lynn Kloppenborg, Bailee Nissen, and Allison Nissen; great-nephew: Colton Nissen; best friend of over 40 years: Janet Burgett; other relatives and a host of friends.
